CORPORATE RAISON D'ETRE

DreamTech exists in a different dimension. As you've hopefully realized, this site is a spoof site, which simulates one possible ramification from advances in cloning science. It is hoped that this site will stimulate thought on the pros and cons of reproductive cloning -- and hopefully also foster some discussion. Anti-cloning legislation is being rushed into law; this is disturbing because there has been little or no public debate on the issue. Our guestbook is a venue where you can express your opinions, concerns, and suggestions, and find out about those of others.

REMARKS

This website was first released in March 1997, shortly after the Dolly story broke. By 2000, we were getting thousands of visitors a week. But in 2002, our web host collapsed, and DreamTech disappeared from the web. In December 2005, we decided to put the site back on the web, under a different domain name. The content is out of date; in fact - incredibly - some of the concepts in the website, like the cloning of pet cats, have actually come true.

This website was produced by one of the founders of Vetsin Productions, a web development company in Cebu City, Philippines. Note that web technology has evolved dramatically since 1997; this site makes use of fairly primitive HTML by today's standards.
